Redefining Marriage

I don’t suppose there are many things that perplex me more than the current debate in the western and secular world to redefine marriage.

It seems to me, that there is a concerted drive by same sex activists, to coerce and manipulate western governments to change a fundamental pillar in society.

These activists are so obsessed with their world view that they think with their considerable financial backing and hysteria, change can be realised in our lifetime.

Who would have thought a decade ago, that the definition of marriage was anything other than, a union between a man and a woman.

After all, biologically it is common sense and anything to the contrary is an aberration of the mind.

Its what we call in contemporary language a “no brainer”!

For millennia Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Shinto, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism have all practiced marriage as a union between male & female.

Even my work amongst animistic polygamist tribes, the natural instinct of marriage was between a man and a woman/women (plural).

Now I’m not an anthropologist but it is a anthropological fact that men and women are different and distinct and obviously complimentary.

It is also a biological fact that natural reproduction requires a man and a woman.

So what is the point in debating this any further!

Dare I say it – children are the product of a man and a woman and deserve a mother and a father.

Dr. Ryan Anderson, one of America’s leading Marriage Advocates says “same sex marriage activists aren’t interested in ‘live-and-let-live’ but in coercing others into embracing their worldview and using government to enforce it.”

Why I believe Marriage should not be Redfined.

  1. Common Sense. If the human race was to be fulfilled through both heterosexual and homosexual marriage, don’t you think our bodies would have been designed in such a way (perhaps evolved…joking!) to allow reproduction through both means and made both means of sexual intercourse healthy and natural? Need I say it, but homosexual anal intercourse carries a high risk of disease, this is recognized in Scripture where gay men are said to receive in their bodies the due penalty for their error (Romans 1:27).
  2. Scripture. Jesus’ view: “And He answered and said to them, ‘Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female,’ — Matthew 19:4 (NKJV) “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’— Mark 10:6 (NKJV

There is so much information that one could throw into this debate which is really a non issue to me,  however because of the serious politicisation of it’s proponents it is necessary to defend the normal which is the truth.

There are many articles on the web relating to this subject that I encourage you to read.

The Catholic Church has sent out a paper on the subject which is worth a read.

The Catholic View – Redefinition of Marriage

…..and here is a video that explains it well.

Marriage should be limited to just One man and One woman. Take a listen:
